In this book, only one etude is used for a variety of arpeggio and tremolo patterns. The scale warm-ups are based on a two-octave, one-position scale that is shifted up and down the fretboard, and a simple one-position chromatic scale. The pull-off and hammer-on slurs are combined into one exercise to save time. This same routine, when practiced with the metronome gradually increasing the tempo, can also double for technical work. With the exception of one chromatic scale exercise, the rest are on closed strings. Besides being able to move the scale up and down the fretboard, the first finger can be barred. This will increase the left hand difficulty and improve the left hand position and strength.There is close to an hour's worth of material if all the exercises are played with all of their variations at different tempos. Not everything needs to be played everyday, so the warm-up session can be as long as desired or as short as time allows.

About the Author
Olga Grushin was born in Moscow in 1971. After studying art and journalism in Moscow, she was awarded a full scholarship to Emory University in 1989. Her first novel, The Dream Life of Sukhanov, earned her a place on Granta's list of Best Young American Novelists and won her the New York Public Library's Young Lions Award; it was also a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Best First Novel award and for Britain's Orange Prize. In 2002 she became an American citizen. She lives in Potomac, Maryland.

Mohammad H. Sadraey is an Associate Professor in the Engineering School at the Daniel Webster College, Nashua, New Hampshire, USA. Dr. Sadraey’s main research interests are in aircraft design techniques, Aircraft Performa, Flight Dynamics, and design and automatic control of unmanned aircraft. He received his MSc. in Aerospace Engineering in 1995 from RMIT, Melbourne, Australia, and his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Kansas, Kansas, USA. Dr. Sadraey is a senior member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). He has over 20 years of professional experience in academia and industry. He is the author of three books including "Aircraft Design; A system Engineering Approach" published by Wiley publications in 2012.

This book, "When is Marriage Null" is an English translation of a 1998 Italian book of journal articles fleshing out the canonical grounds of marriage nullity. The author, Fr. "When is Marriage Null" is canonical caviar, an academic treatise that will most certainly stimulate the canonist who is interested in the field of marriage jurisprudence. Hands down, the finest work I have ever read.My two favorite areas of marriage law are canons 1097 (error) and 1095 (incapacity). Fr. Paolo dedicates over 75 pages (out of 315) to these two areas alone. He brilliantly explains the subjects so well (with real case examples) that I am struggling to see how this book can be useful for the non-canonist. I do, somewhat, believe that it can be an advantage for the non-canonist, but only up to a certain point. This book is the real deal and a gigantic treat for the lover of canon law. It is not like other books that you may stumble upon from time to time that seek to bring the Church's law into the mainstream arena, no, this book is very different. Pure gold! I love it!!!!!

This is a demanding book for someone who is not familiar with Canon Law. Each chapter addresses one of the grounds for annulment, and the examples provided at the end of each chapter make it easier to understand how the validity of a marriage is assessed in practice. Although it seems that most applications for nullity are approved these days in Western countries, some of the cases in the book involve marriages that were not declared null. In some cases the applicant spouse simply wanted to move on with their life and have their divorce rubber-stamped by the Church. When faced with this question, eventually I would recommend a couple of chapters from one book, some readings from another, or the kind of 1000-page handbook that people love to carry on the plane back home.

After several years, I realized that too many people were asking for the same thing, but "that thing" did not exist in the market. That is why I decided to write this book.

I have noticed when working with general managers that many of them fear finance, the culprits often being jargon, complicated math, and non-standard concepts that do not make intuitive sense. In this book, I try to avoid all this. In addition, the book presents several practical examples of key finance tools, how they link with strategy, and how to implement them with Microsoft Excel.
